​Dr. Lesley Dickson

​Hello!

          Educationally I hold a Doctoral degree in Psychology from California Southern University. Prior to that I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology (Walden University) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Allison University. I have worked in Mental Health and Addictions, university level teaching, as well as the public school system prior to moving to private practice. On a professional learning level, I receive regular supervision as I continue to evolve in my clinical practice, while also expanding my training with couples therapy.​

          In my spare time I enjoy being around the water; kayaking and swimming in the summer, as well as going for walks and snowshoeing in the winter. I balance that with spending time with family and friends.

In our time working together my goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to talk and make the changes and gains that you are hoping to make. I will use a combination of approaches based on what you may need. This may include CBT, narrative, and solution focused treatment modalities. I am also trained in Neurofeedback techniques and can introduce these into the treatment plan if it is appropriate and you are interested.  I work with individuals that are 18+ years old primarily but am open to working with other ages as well if we are a fit.

My areas of interest and experience include anxiety, stress, PTSD, relationships, depression, neurofeedback, among others. ​

Fees:

$140/hr for individual counselling

$160/hr for couples counselling
