Hello! My name is Whitney Ingraham (she/her) and I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling from Acadia University.
Miramichi is where my roots are and I am excited to be back and practicing in a place that feels like home. I know that starting therapy can be both hard and beautiful. My practice is guided by radical acceptance and compassion. It is my hope that the space we share together is a space where you will feel safe to explore what is important to you, and a space where you can find your wholeness. I am committed to offering you a counselling space that is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed.
In sessions, I take an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on many different strategies to meet your uniqueness. I have a special interest in mindfulness-based and compassion-focused approaches. I also have experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy skills (DBT skills). As I journey through my practice, I am committed to ethics, continued learning, self-care, and practicing under supervision in order to show up for you in the way you deserve.
