Emily Tardif

M.A. Candidate

Hello! My name is Emily Tardif (she/her), and I am completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Crandall University and a Bachelor of Theology from Acadia Divinity College. Throughout my undergraduate degrees, I worked with a variety of different people and settings, including an after-school program for youth and children at risk, Harvest House, Teen Challenge, The Briarlea Senior’s Living, Night to Shine, and The Pregnancy and Wellness Centre in Moncton. I recently concluded my job as an Individual and Family Support Worker in Moncton to begin my internship with MCC. I’ve seen and experienced a lot of life, and it is my passion to provide people with a non-judgemental, safe space to process their life situations and reach a sense of peace and security, no matter what life throws at them.

My preferred counselling methods are Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and a little bit of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, but ultimately, I will draw upon many forms of therapy that best fit your needs, goals, and abilities. I will also offer Christian counselling to those who desire to incorporate Christianity into therapy. My degree in theology and personal time spent exploring my beliefs have allowed me to deepen my faith, and I look forward to helping others in their spiritual journey.
